Shultzy / Willi
Hi, remember me? My bname ws "Shultzy" but my new family renmaed me
"Willi". I've been here almost a year now and I love it! I have my own
bed but I get to sleep on the bed with my new family, too. I have a neat
buddy with me. His name is "Tiger" and we keep each other company. We
have a swimming pool in the back yard and you know what? I fell in the
other day and Dad had to help me out. I just gotta learn to swim. Anyway,
I am staying away from the edge now.
I miss my old Friends at B&B. I hope they all find as nice a home as I
did. Thank you all for the love and care you gave to me during my stay
with you.
As you can see, we have a computer room, and I do my best to help my Dad
work it. Most of the time, however, he never listens to me.
"Aunt Linda, Tiger & me
Willis is allowiong us to write a few lines also. My
daughter Lindy brought me out to your wonderful kennel and it was so
difficult to select just one pet. We had just lost our "old Willi" and
were really down in the dumps. When we saw "Shultzy" he was just
perfect. We know he had been looking for a home for some time and we knew
he was the one for Edie & me. We enclose a check to help defray some of
the costs you incur. May God Bless you for your wonderful endeavors.
Sincerely, Hal & Edie Thrapp and Lindy Kalpakoff

How
do new dogs and babies get along?
The baby and the dog should never be left alone together.
However, Bassets are the least likely to be dangerous. There are other breeds
such as the Labrador, the Golden Retriever, and the Collie that are unlikely
to snap at children.
Adopting an older dog that has had experience with children is much better
than adopting a puppy or a young dog without experience.
With puppies, teething is part of growing up - and sometimes they don't
know the strength of their own jaws. Rather than riskng it, go with an older
dog. That way, both parties can have fun & respect without getting into
any trouble!! |
