Penstock is a gem!
Dear
Beagles and Buddies...
Here are the pictures I promised back in December. Sorry it took so long. As
you can see Teddy is very happy. We have really come to love this playful and
energetic guy. His transition to the home went so smoothly...it was like he
was meant to be with us. He has full run of the house and backyard. He sleeps
mostly with my daughter each night but sometimes the boys sneak him into their
rooms. When he is home alone on occassion and whenever one of the family returns
home he has the most excited greeting anytime of the day it makes us feel so
special... he jumps up and down over and over and makes this gruntle sound as
though he can't get enough of the affection. I
have to tell you that while my husband was supportive of getting the dog he
was not thrilled about the size...he wanted bigger and in the beginning he said
he would simply stay "uninvolved"...however he has now fully fallen
for Teddy and takes him for rides in the car whenever he plays 'TAXI' for the
kids. He also has his daily 'grab and chase' game he and the kids play with
Teddy. (It is to complicated to explain but know that Teddy loves it.)
Thank you again for saving such a wonderful addition to our family, Shirley
Gilley and Family
Hi,
Connie... just wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know we haven't forgotten
you. Life has been really hectic, and Ron has been working 7 days a week with
all the problems relating to the California power situation. I will be a couple
of weeks longer before we can stop by, as I have lots of music work during the
couple of weeks surrounding St. Patrick's day, but we promise to visit as soon
as we can. Looks like there are some great new faces on the web site!
Penstock (the former Elliot) is doing just great... what a gem he is! He is
one of the most affectionate dogs I've
ever known, and I can't imagine how anyone could have given him up. Any time
someone comes over to visit, he's in their lap within 5 minutes, and even the
few people who claim not to like dogs become instant fans of his. He's quite
the little clown, too... one of his favorite games is to grab the camellias
that fall from the trees in our yard and try to make us chase him to take them
away. Imagine that face with a bright pink flower sticking out of his mouth!
The obedience training is moving slowly, mostly due to my own reluctance to
go out in the monsoons, but he'll do well when the good weather comes and we
get to working on more of a schedule. Anyway, thanks for knowing that he was
the dog for us... your instincts were spot-on, and the three of us couldn't
be happier!
Take
care... we promise we'll bring him by real soon to say hello. Linda (and Ron,
and Penstock)
