Here are the latest pictures of Corey :) We renamed him and he seems to like
it, he at least responds to it. He is doing very well in the house now. When
I work I am now able to leave him in the house and I can leave the back door
open so he can go in and out as he wishes. We have bought him many toys and
we always have a bunch of games with certain toys. The cat and Corey are much
better also, they have come nose to nose without any growling or hissing. Corey
never growled .. that was the cat :) Corey can be a little 'clumsy' sometimes
though when he is excited so we have to make sure he doesn't accidentally trample
the cat! Only three pictures will attach to this email so I will send the others
in another. Hope you enjoy them :) Love
Kelly and Corey :)
The kids were thrilled! We're calling him Elvis -- because he's the new
king around here. He had a really great first night, cuddled with everybody,
ate his dinner, took his walk, slept in his new bed! We'll keep you posted.
Thanks for matching us up!
is now Daisy. We named her Daisy like the flower and she seems to likeit.
She is very happy with us and we are with her. She is such a good girl.
We already introduced her around the neighborhood and take her for walks
and outings with our family. Thank you for letting usexperience a new
joy to ou family.
The Adam Garza & Family
who is now named Bernice Amy, is doing very well. She is such a joy! We took
her to our vet the Friday we adopted her and she was put on medication for a
respiratory infection and a ear infection. We had a slight problem with potty
training, but everything is under control and Bernice is on the right path.
She will also be starting obedience training in a couple of weeks. She gets
along fine with her new brothers (Barnaby-4 year old beagle and Paco-7 year
old parrot) and is a great addition to our family. Thank you so much for allowing
Bernice to bless our family! We truly treasure her! Attached is a couple pictures
of Bernice and Barnaby, enjoy. Thank you again and please stay in touch,
Jill, Dan, Barnaby, Bernice and Paco Spivey.
do new dogs and babies get along?
The baby and the dog should never be left alone together.
However, Bassets are the least likely to be dangerous. There are other breeds
such as the Labrador, the Golden Retriever, and the Collie that are unlikely
to snap at children.
Adopting an older dog that has had experience with children is much better
than adopting a puppy or a young dog without experience.
With puppies, teething is part of growing up - and sometimes they don't
know the strength of their own jaws. Rather than riskng it, go with an older
dog. That way, both parties can have fun & respect without getting into
