 | Honey (Age: 1 yr, Weight: 15lb, Sex: female, Breed: beagle mix) Sweet little red/white gal who is very shy. We're letting her come around in her own time - and it's working....7/17 she can go a patient home - teens and adults...she'd like a k-9 pal, too! Ask us who her dog de jeur is when you visit! We'd say male, a bit older than her - lotsa beagles qualify Kinda of a cross between Tapioca/Lilly/Biscuit.... |  | River (Age: 4 yrs, Weight: 15lb, Sex: male, Breed: doxie/beagle) He's from Tehachapi! Cool little dude - come hang with him and his BFFs here at B&B to get better acquainted. We recommend an adult home - it's not that he's bit anyone or anything like that - he's just not a kid's sort of dog.... |  | Loyal Buddy (Age: 5-6 yrs, Weight: 27lb, Sex: male, Breed: beagle) He lived with a senior woman and was very devoted to her. Wonderful gentle guy. We had his ear hematoma seen to - he has had a chronic problem with one ear, so you'll want to keep it clean and we're happy to give you a ear-cleaning lesson - included with adoption! Wonderful personality! |  | Oliver (Age: 5 yrs, Weight: 55lb, Sex: male, Breed: tree walker coonhound) This handsome lad had one home all his life and was faithful, loyal companion in adult family. He knows all his commands, is house trained, current in all shots and in good health. Oliver has ongoing food aggression and toy possession issues and needs a special home with folks to help him manage these...no kids...no cats. Ideally, Oliver would love a home with fenced land to stretch his legs during the day, and a warm, safe place to share with his people. He's fine with other dogs his size. We want to stress that his behavior is manageable - people just need to know what to do. So worth the time and effort for such a great family companion as Oliver! Rescued from shelter where he was at high risk - Frodo is having a great time making friends at B&B - come on over to meet 'n greet him yourself - soon as you can! You gotta see this guy in person - soooo cute! Though he seems to like his kids with mustard and ketsup...so teens and adults pls... |  | Trousdale (Age: 2, Weight: 25lb, Sex: male, Breed: beagle) Came from his one and only home where kids had allergies. He is food aggressive with other dogs - so feed them separately and no chew toys, bones for anybody....or only dog. No youngsters pls - he'll smell peanut butter and jelly on little fingers a mile away. He can't be in the house when family is eating - proactive/preventative actions are the very best with him. Beautiful dog - and lovely personality other than the food obsession....Yea!! Actually, he's been missing regular exercise...now that he's running with the hounds daily, we hope he'll slim down a bit. He is house and leash trained, well mannered and great with kids over, probably 8 years. Been with his one and only family since he was a little pup. Nuthin' wrong with him at all - lotsa moving by his people caused his release.... |  | Madden (Age: 9 -10yrs, Weight: 60+?lb, Sex: male, Breed: basset, pure) Adopted from us a few years ago and then returned almost a year ago. He is a bit overweight, has had back surgery and is greatly helped by acupuncture weekly or biweekly (as $ permit.) He wants a comfortable place to relax and call his own - he adores a big Kuranda bed! Typical basset who loves his people and wants to be top dog - whether he can pull it off or not! So nice to have a good ole family dawg who's always ready to listen to your troubles. This dear one could sure use sponsors/foster/visitors/folks who care. HhhhaaaAAAAOOOOOoooowwwWWWWwwwww about it? BREAKING NEWS! Madden was the photo op double for the basset star of Abigail Brizden's new movie The American Girl! He walked (er, waddled) the red carpet and made appearances in Beverly Hills and Hollywood! Making his own acupuncture money! Way to go Madden!! Looks somewhat like Soozie - a bit shy - she was found in a crate at our front gate one morning...I guess that's an "owner turn in" So, she needs socialization which we're working on. She got a phenomenal foster home...with pet therapy certified Tiny Tink, Mickey and their mom Kathy Fuller - best therapy any dog could ever have! |  | Lady (Age: 6-7 yrs, Weight: 55lb, Sex: female, Breed: catahoula mix) Sweet as she can be - we couldn't resist rescuing this one while on a wee mini-vacation (half of which was spent at animal shelters) We thought her entire underbelly was roped w/ mammary tumors...very next day she delivered four pups. Only one survived past two days and our volunteer extraordinnaire Maxine, got up every two hours for weeks to feed little Phoenix/Lazarina. Wonderful big gal who kicks up her heels and gets on well with all other dogs! Click on thumbprint to see her whole body. She just had mammary tumors removed on one side - soon as she heals (mid-Feb) she'll have surgery on the other side. No cancer detected - so hopefully, she's got a long time ahead of her!
