Vol. 1, #3

Well, I got to go to the local Italian restaurant where the "puperazi" all hang out. Cheech Marin was sitting next to us. I barked to let him know I recognized him. He thinks my bark sounds like a fog horn. He asked if the fog was rolling in. Today I was fitted for a harness. Mom says they're better for my neck in case she ever has to yank me. We're going to be doing a photo shoot for my promo pictures. I just got my new name tag. Mom had to put on there I was deaf just in case I ever get lost again. It's so embarrassing. I saw my first doggy door. There was food and cats on the other side and I get my head stuck! I'm finally putting on some weight. This lady figured out I have an old smeller and if I can't smell the food, I don't know to eat it. So now I get all kinds of smelly cheeses and stuff! Meanwhile Howdy and Boogie who are already too fat are getting fatter eating all the food I don't. So I think I will be dining separately. Friday I go to Dr. Deans to get my weekly check up, bath, and pedicure. Boogie goes too. Howdy isn't old like us so he doesn't smell yet. That Boogie though, P.U. This weekend we're going to the chili cookoff and the carnival. Mom takes me EVERYWHERE. I'll let you know how it is. Later.

Mom says I'm doing really well. I kissed her recently on the lips for the first time. She almost cried. I ran on the beach and she almost fainted. I couldn't run until now. I also do this little dance for her that makes her laugh really hard. Today she took me to Home Depot. She put me in the cart. It was so cool riding up and down the isles. Everyone smiled. They were so friendly. Hey, I forgot to tell you about Kim Delaney next door. She has a very nice black dog named Midnight. I only see them at night so I guess 'hence the name.' And this house where I live used to be Garry Shandling's house. He had a wonderful old dog like me (if I say so myself) named Shep. He wasn't a bassett but he was homeless until Garry. He passed away end of last year. I guess that's all the name dropping I'll do for now. I don't want to rub it all in...you know...being famous now and all. Give my regards to all the little doggies!
