Ellie was given up (along with two other family pals) when folks lost their home. We are so thrilled that she got such a great mom as Wanda - they adopted each other!

July 3 & 4
Annual 4th of July work/play party!
Walk the dogs - play - bathe - brush - socialize - clean - and EAT! Great food by Estella Gonzales, as always! 10 am to 4 pm, both days. Please RSVP so we know you're coming!
Volunteers are welcome Fri. & Sat. at 8am to help walk dogs and tire them out so they'll be better able to handle the fireworks. We're going to want them to run & play from 8am to noon and then we'll have the feast our tremendous volunteer Estella Gonzales always prepares for us.
Open to the public for adoptions: Sat & Sun from 10 to 4
Volunteers welcome both Fri. & Sat. - good food both days!
(Volunteers: 8 to noon and then lunch. Stay on if you want but dogs will ALL be walked in the morning. Saturday same time to walk dogs - and we're open 10 to 4- lunch both days at noon)
(If anybody can LOAN radios & fans, we can use lots for these two days!)

Pet CPR class, Saturday July 25th

We will be holding a Pet Tech First Aid and CPR class on Saturday July 25th from 12pm-4pm here at B&B. The cost of the class is $59, which includes instruction from a certified teacher and a booklet. A portion of the fee goes directly to our dog rescue work here at B&B. If you're interested in joining in on this valuable learning opportunity, email Jordi at jordibradshaw@yahoo.com. Space is limited! Staff and volunteers had the opportunity to take an expanded version of this class over an 8-hour period recently - very valuable! If you can't make this date, we'll do it again - let Jordi know.

Headin' to Tehachapi
We're on countdown until Connie heads north to our Tehachapi ranch to start development of those 22 acres into our Green Sanctuary. We're currently looking for catchy names for our Kern County operations. Email us your ideas! We'll still be in El Monte and that's where our Adoption Center will continue to be for you to come visit and hang with the pooches. We've also got our volunteer corps in place in El Monte as well as the Lincoln Training Center dog walkers and B&B's Every Dog...Every Day program.
We'll be having some work/play parties in Tehachapi soon, too, and we have some cool campgrounds for those of you who just have to stay and see the sunset, zillions of bright beautiful stars, sunrise, and smell the pines. Start up your old Sam Cooke's Change is Gonna Come music. We'll be playing it loud and long at B&B North--or whatever better name you come up with!

Our "Specials" Need You!
Please Foster or Sponsor a Special!
Dear B&B Boosters,
We're reaching out to you as dedicated B&B boosters and asking folks to foster and/or sponsor a "special". We're under extreme stress taking care of the dogs and jumping through the city's hoops and really need some relief. We have had to lay off some of our employees and cut hours on others. Thankfully, more volunteers are coming forward, but we're still peddling as fast as we can.
Could you take care of one of our pooches for a little while? Maybe somebody who needs TLC, is shy or a bit frightened? Or a regular dog that has just been here a long time and will get along with yours? We can give you a very easy dog to be around. We've got a long list of possibilities!
How it works:
- Fostering means giving a dog (or two) a temporary home, hopefully until we get set up in Tehachapi (penciled in for June/July). We can provide some Natural Balance sausages and any medicines needed. The dogs listed below are not on any long term medical care, except as noted. If needed, our vet in Alhambra is available for treatment that can be put on our account. Banfield at the Pomona Veterinary School also has great rates for rescued dogs.

- Sponsoring a "Special" does not involve taking a dog into your home, but rather providing financial support for medical needs such as dental, blood and lab work, surgeries, etc. to put them in the best possible adoptable position.
Please contact us to make any arrangments or ask any questions. We welcome you to visit us on any of our open house days (any Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday and the first Friday of each month from 10 am to 4 pm). Bring your dogs and we'll find a "Special" who is compatible. They'll shower you with love and you'll be so glad that you did this!
You can also use the DONATION button below for a quick, easy & secure way to donate immediately online with Paypal using your credit card. Donations of any amount are most welcome, and we're currently facing medical costs for each dog of anywhere from $150-$250 or more, depending on their needs. Thank you in advance from all of us!

You will be able to indicate which dog or dogs you
wish to sponsor from the list below.
