Buddy:

Buff colored guy who was rescued from awful situation - his ears were horribly infected, full of fox tails and he was just a general terrible mess. Wonderful foster home cleaned him up - got his ears healed and he's now ready for his own permanent home. He is housetrained, well mannered and a darned good looking guy~ |

Click on image to see his whole body. He has chronic demodectic mange - not contagious. It is inherited and relates to immune system issues. Straight forward treatment of good nourishment and supplements (vitamins), special shampoo weekly, dip and injection. He is such a love and will absolutely melt your heart. We're OK with him being fostered and we'll always supply his treatments - at our place or for you to give. He has NEVER looked better than NOW. |

Very handsome and EZ going guy. Came from a family where he just didn't work out - he's been terrific with us and one of our all time favorites! Come visit soon as you can - he is good friends with Tucker, Cole, Millie and even some non-beagles.... |

Microchipping Comes to B&B!
 B&B will be able to microchip your dogs with AVID chips starting May 3. We can do this any open house day/time. The cost will be $25. If you have adopted a dog from us recently that is not chipped, there is no charge! Avid Microchips have been used to safely return lost dogs and get them home safely!

Announcing the "Special Friends Volunteer Program"
Some of our dogs are looking for Special Friends – friends who will help them get adopted!
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to work one-on-one with a dog who could use a little "coaching" to help them get adopted. If you are interested, you must have come to B&B as a regular volunteer at least 3 times before you can join this program.
B&B is a no-kill shelter. That means that sometimes a dog can be at B&B for years before the right person comes along to adopt it. The Special Friends program is all about helping these dogs find that special person a little sooner. To learn more about becoming a Special Friend to a dog in need click here...

The company is not selling these shirts on-line or at Bloomingdales, Saks or Neimann-Marcus like the rest of the clothing line. FUNDRAISER FOR PERLA DOG BEDS!
 We LOVE the Perla dog beds and could make use of any size. Ideally, we want every single dog (i.e. 150) to have either a Perla or Kuranda bed. One of our great volunteers have contacted the National Distributor of Perla Dog Beds and got us a super deal - much lower than we've found anywhere! We'd like to place one large order, so we're gathering "pledges" to order the beds. The sizes range from the small beds for little pooches at $8.75 to the extra large beds for our big buddies at $28.56. We won't know what shipping will be until we get the order together.
The Perla's price (especially with this special consideration) is great and they are very popular with the dogs. They're made of pretty much indestructible plastic with air vents in the bottom and plastic coin type inserts to make them non-slip. We don't ever need the more costly cushions because we are using the pillows you all have already donated! Get in on this Spring Shopping event for the dogs!

Pet Adoption Event for Big Sunday
Hosted by the Beverly Hills Pet Care Foundation
It's time for the 10th Annual Big Sunday volunteer event! This celebrated event was so big it needed a second day! In that regard, Bill Crowe, Director of The Pet Care Foundation, is hosting the Big Sunday pet adoption event in beautiful Roxbury Park in Beverly Hills on Saturday, May 3rd. LA City, LA County, Beagles & Buddies, and other animal rescue organizations will be on hand with their dogs and cats that need loving homes. Other animal related activities are planned to inspire participation by the community. We hope you'll stop by to visit us and adopt one of our wondeful dogs!

"Wieners N Wheels" at Fairmount Park in Riverside (at the band shell & train entrance. Our Wishlist!
We're hoping some of our friends will come through with these much needed gifts:
- Photographer: We need a volunteer who can take good pictures of our dogs once a week for about an hour. We need you to use a digital camera and be able to email the photos to us so that we can add them our website.
- Special people to give permanent, foster and sponsored homes to our Special pooches
- Kuranda dog beds
- Treadmills: In good working order please. Electric is preferred so dogs of all weights/sizes/physical condition
can use them (though the treadmills specifically designed for dogs are frequently manual). We can use any treadmill built in the last 10 years, with a preference for electric folding types.
- Towels (used, all sizes & lots of 'em please!)
- Sturdy dog toys
- Kong balls
- Used bedroom pillows and cases
- Used comforters we can cut into doggie blankets
- Vari-kennels (all sizes)
- 6x6x6 chain link runs - (need about 4)
- Spare change to buy all these things and much more!
- Volunteers: (we always need you!)
